I don't follow recruiting that closely, but is this at all common?  Do recruits ever bash schools on Twitter in the middle of their visits?

Here to enlighten some of you, oh so smart KSU football fans.

1.  In 2009, you lost to Sun Belt Member UL-Lafayette 17-15.

2.  In 2010, you beat a not so great North Texas squad 49-41.

3.  This yeah, you beat FCS (not FBS) member Eastern Kentucky 10-7 to open the season.

You also play in an extremely weak big 12 North, which even with Nebraska, wasn't much stronger than the Sun Belt I would say.  I would think twice before talking down other schools.  You had success, I don't have a problem with you or your fanbase, but if these recruits want to go to ASU and are more impressed with what they see happening in Jonesboro than in Manhattan, it doesn't make them stupid.  Plenty of reasons to be excited with the hiring of Malzahn and the level of recruits coming in and the excitement of their own 10 win season.  Obviously ASU will likely not make it into the top 10 of the BCS and such, but do you really think KSU will be there again?

Arkansas State is 1-25 against BCS conference teams since 2000.  After running the table in the Sun Belt this year, they just lost their bowl game to one of the two teams that KU beat this year. 

KSU is on TV every week.  KSU was 8-3 against BCS conference teams this year.  KSU's last game was in front of a sold out Jerry Dome.

Facilities, amenities, etc.  You could go on and on.  It's not even fair to Arkansas State to try to compare them.

Is it negative recruiting to point these things out to a kid?

In defense of our coaches, it would be really rough ridin' hard NOT to talk negatively about Arkansas State.  Like, if you found out a decent recruit was considering Arkansas State, wouldn't you at least have to make sure they didn't have it confused with a real school?

if you can't say enough positive things about your own school to out recruit arkansas rough ridin' state then there is a problem with you as a recruiter. just jesus christ. so painful. 

Yeah, the take away is that we are in a recruiting battle with Arkansas State and our fans are in a pissing match with Arkansas State fans.  Sad.

While those measurables are certainly not the only thing that matters, they do matter, especially in our very offensively dynamic conference.

I can't tell you how many times I've seen 4.8 40 times from these combines for corners going to elite programs.

Paint a kid with a broad brush like that and I'll call you a mommy every time.
