Ten days without a post in this thread. rough ridin' pathetic!

With grayshirts included in this class, we're currently sitting at 15.  I don't think we'll have much room to count back, either.  So we probably have ten spots left.

I'm guessing Snyder is going to hold 4-5 for JUCO needs, and 4-5 for kids that become prospects after their senior year.  I'm sure we'll accept some guys we already extended offers to, but overall, I'm guessing we may get two or three commitments through the remainder of the season, and we'll get the bulk of the rest after our big visit weekends in December.

counting Leverett we should have 10 left as of now because Seiwert is a greyshirt.
Academics is a stupid word.

Academic schools are synonymous for being rich, powerful and exclusive, three things Kansas State is not.

So when people throw the word "academics" around, that's really what they are referencing.

Class actually looks pretty decent so far.  Hopefully that DT from Missouri picks up another star.  The class won't rank well because of all the previous dudes but we're bring in decent talent.

If you want a comparo, Jarvis is an inch taller Rock Cartwright in the making.

The highlights showed him running straight for the most part. No quick moves or anything. I can see the Cartwright comparison.

Meanwhile, Rock and his total lack of quick moves are still returning kicks in the NFL.  Fake Sugar Dick (WARNING, NOT THE REAL SUGAR DICK!).

What I liked most about Rock was that he was dependable. He didn't fumble. Got the yards he could get. He never hurt you. That's what I saw when Rock was returning kicks for the 'Skins. There's a lot of value for a guy who will hit the holes, and not make mistakes.

I think Rock fumbled in '00 Nebraska on a kickoff where they kicked it super high to one of our up-men.  Could have been Texas Tech that same year.

It seems like Rock runs alot harder then this kid; Watching the video he, pretty much goes down with any contact, future linebacker imo

I liked his blocking the best.

Ya, I do remember him being mostly a fullback for us. It was really shocking for me to see him play the rb role for the redskins. I can't remember ever judging his lead blocking for the running back, but I do remember him pass protection blocking a lot, and that was excellent. Just a no-nonsense type of player so typical of so many of our studs back in the day.

Leverett given a grade of 77 by ESPN scout which would be equivalent to 5.6 3 star on rivals.  Rated as their #41 RB in the nation.

If you want a comparo, Jarvis is an inch taller Rock Cartwright in the making.

Rock was primarily a fullback for us, but he got his fair share of carries and maximized his ypc avg. I can see Jarvis putting on 15 pounds of muscle and turning into a big back. He's got a good center of gravity because he runs on his heels more than anything. That's where i see the comparison to Rock the most. Rock had tremendous hands out of the backfield, giving him a 3rd tool and it looks as if Jarvis enjoys the screens and flat routes.

Most recent film i could find on Jarvis, although it's 6 months old.  Kid can make people miss, but seems to have trouble staying on his feet while attempting to juke.  Couple runs end because he just falls over.
