Lewis liked what he heard about Fleming and his management of kickers. Haubeil told him Fleming was careful about not overtaxing them, keeping them on pitch counts similar to pitchers in baseball.“It was like music to my ears,” Lewis said.His workload was an issue at USC. He said special teams coordinator Sean Snyder was a “great guy,” but put kickers through a lot of reps in practices. Lewis felt it contributed to some of his injuries.“Basically, it was like kick until your leg can come off,” Lewis said.
