Why in the shazbot! are we not offering Chase Harper when our TE's are dropping passes left and right. Hands of Stone didn't play today (McDonald) but Butter Fingers did (Tannahill). 
I made this same point before....just pull a Frank and dump Tannahill and McDonad! Both are worthless effs and a waste of a perfect scolly
I'm in the minority, but I'm not ready to give up on McDonald yet. He's only going to be a sophomore next year.
Besides, people want him to be a pass catching TE. The dude has it in him to be a Jason Dunn type of TE. He's essentially a third tackle on most plays. That can be pretty valuable if utilized properly.
Most pro-style offenses, like we have, use that kind of TE. You have a pass catching TE in some of the time and in obvious passing situations. But overall, McDonald is and can be a valuable asset if placed in the correct schemes as a pass blocker and safety valve as a very large target.
