dad, did an MU alum move in next door to you recently?  what's your beef with MU lately?

I've never liked MU athletics.

We've been finishing in the top 50 the last couple of seasons. I agree it's not "great" recruiting, but I don't think it's terrible either.  :dunno: I agree about our position players tho. Woof!

How many power-5 schools are there - 65?  finishing top 50 isn't a very good benchmark.

we're terrible at recruiting - no question.  but, some food for thought - Clemson has the 11th most NFL draft picks over the past 10 years; 23rd most over past 20 years.

K-State has 33rd most draft picks over past 20 years.  Can't find a definitive ranking for picks over past 10 years.  Cats aren't top-25 tho.  25th best school (Tennessee) had 34 picks over past 10 years.  We've had 16.  So, I'd guess we're ranked somewhere in that #40-45 range for most draft picks.

But have they had a player drafted in every draft over the past 20 years??

6 BCS schools that offered is pretty good for a KSU commit.  There were years at the beginning of Snyder Part II that the entire recruiting class had 6 other BCS offers.

Duke just developed a 1st RD OG, is a great academic institution, and Durham/Chapel Hill is a really cool area.

Northwestern is Chicago, and a great academic institution.

Berkeley is also a cool place, and a excellent academic institution.

It's a nice offer list.

I always figure it's a solid pickup if there's multiple power conference offers, regardless of which ones.
I once blew clove smoke in a guy's face that cut in front of me in the line to KJ's.

I live with a girl that went to South Carolina and she has absolutely nothing positive to say about Clemson. A lot of the vernacular she uses is the same that KU uses against KState. So I'm led to believe I should hate South Carolina and love Clemson based on those facts alone.

This is an incredibly accurate comparo of the Clemson/USC.
Wow. Eerily accurate. I have a couple of coworkers who are Clemson Alum. They basically never mention USC.

Clemson also just had a DE taken in the top 10 of last year's draft. Pretty good selling point.

Texas Christian University coach Gary Patterson has been hired as Kansas State's 34th football coach, multiple sources have confirmed to GoPowercat.com.  Patterson replaces Ron Prince, who was fired Wednesday. - Tim Fitzgerald   Nov, 7, 2008

By god you are right AND it appears geographically closer to the coast than clemson is to its respective coastal waters.  Now I dont know what to think.  Perhaps poor xavier was sold a lie.
