5. Skyline probably played some of the best defense Glades Central will see.
I was more impressed with junior LB Peter Jinkens and senior DE Marquel Bryant than I was with all-everything LB Anthony Wallace. But what do I know?

I don't see anyway that Bryant doesn't get a third star.

SAY PRETTY PEASE

From GPC:

Quote
"We are 2-0 on the season," the 5-foot-11, 210-pound Pease said. "We are doing good and having fun doing it."

"Having Elliott allows us to have Angelo at tailback," Rhodes said in a Blue Dragons athletic press release. "We want Angelo to touch the ball as much as possible. He can score every time he touches it."  :surprised:

"I'm still going to K-State," Pease said. "Nothing has changed at all there. I talk to the coaches from there all the time. They call and check in with me just to see how things are and make sure I'm doing what I need to be doing to get done with my classes." :opcat:

"I would like a shot at being the quarterback at K-State," he said. "But, really, it doesn't matter. I just want to help the team out. If that means doing something else and playing another position, then so be it. Just get me on the field and let me do my part." :fatty:

As a quarterback at Cairo (Ga.) High, Pease rushed for and threw for over 1,000 yards in each of his final two seasons. He led his squad to a state runner-up finish as a junior and a 14-0 record and a state championship as a senior.

Can someone fill us in on the article about Blinn on the front page of TOS?  Really hoping it's about Tuggle.  He would be very welcome next year...

Quote from: Morgan Burns
"I went up to K-State, UCLA game. It was an interesting game. Daniel Thomas is going to do some good things. I was excited to see him play. They bring all of the recruits in the same room and say hi and shake our hands and welcome us. There really wasn't much time to talk to the coaches. They were needing to get out on the field for the game."

"Recruiting is going good," the 5-foot-11, 190-pound Burns said. "I've been getting more letters. I don't have any more offers, yet. Colorado State and K-State are my two offers. Oklahoma Stat e has been sending me some stuff. I hear from KU every once in a while. I've tried to talk to them, but with the season going on, it is tough to get ahold of them. I'm also getting more interest from Iowa State now."

"I've been thinking a lot about it," he said. "I just don't have a school that is my favorite. The two that have offered are right up there obviously. I will probably go on some visits and check out some schools and try to get that. I'll get to know the schools better, but I'll probably wait until after the season is over to make a choice."

WRSOAT has a decent class going so far this year...  Especially if you include the Brown Bros.

You don't and they don't.  Luckily they kicked ucla's balls so at least we looked good.

Sure the Browns, Harper, Smith, etc won't count in the recruiting rankings but they certainly add a bunch of talent to the team.  Which is the actual point of recruiting.

JeremyCrabtree

Watch juco film today: Butler vs. Fort Scott. Marcus Kennard is a baller for Butler. K-State's getting a good one with him.

Dude had like 3 tds against Ft Scott, who was ranked like #3 in the nation.  Did you guys know that the qb from ECU played at Ft. Scott last year and Snyder didn't even offer him a scholarship!?!?

Prolly wasn't a fine, upstanding youngster. CC is a young guy with a lot of character and goodness.
