Part of me thinks that Bill is making this horrible decision with Sharp BECAUSE he is retiring within a couple years or less, and just doesn't give a eff....like he just finally got too frustrated and said "eff it, not my problem"

I mean, the last time he retired he left us with the worst QB situation this school has had since 1989.

lol you don't really believe that.

also, kaw valley cat, woof.  what an idiot.
that's an understatement

I do really believe that Bill might believe that he is teaching this youngster a lesson.

Shaun Wilson is a nifty lil dude.  His elusiveness in tight spaces has not been seen around these parts since the fella now in New Orleans.

BTW, bout time Mizzou and Nubb got after Elijah Lee but too little too late.  His senior highlights are impressive.  Not the undersized-biscuit deprived- frame we saw in Walker coming in.  He's still light but has about 25lbs on Walker and much more skill, speed.

Academics is a stupid word.

Academic schools are synonymous for being rich, powerful and exclusive, three things Kansas State is not.

So when people throw the word "academics" around, that's really what they are referencing.

It's exactly what I implied....perhaps he's now willing to finally "take a stand" and "teach youngsters a lesson," in part because he won't be the one who lives with the consequences.

You'll find that human beings are willing to "take stands" much more readily when their personal negative consequences are minimized.  True story, bro.

What other mother rough ridin' reason does Snyder have for pulling the offer?  Got some bad senior film on the kid the other day, that had been lost in the mail and has second thoughts about the youngsters' throwing motion?

Why NOW does Snyder try and prove a point by pulling an offer?

The difference is why in the eff would we pull his offer you idiots? To show him who's boss? Well, good job fuckheads. You sure showed him! Now onto the most pressing remaining need in this recruiting class, the gaping hole at QB.
Well yeah.  I was interested in reading what I would assume was some kind of a moral argument by MIR.

Go eff yourself
Well this is an unexpected post.

I've always been interested in what I guess you might call the social morality of the college sports landscape and over the years I've gleaned from your posts that you are too.  I'm still not 100% sure where I stand on all the issues so I like hearing good arguments.  That's why I said I was interested in hearing your take.  Expressing interest in hearing your argument hardly seems out of line.

Steve Dave's response was the obvious pragmatic problem on K-State's end for pulling his scholly.  I was more interested in the point you were getting at.  Maybe "morality" wasn't the right word and you thought I was screwing with you, but my post was genuine and your initial response was exactly what I was hoping to read -- a strong argument spelling out the differences in bargaining vis-a-vis players and coaches at the stage a player commits to a university.

After I read your post I thought to myself, "yep those are good arguments."

Unless that "go eff yourself" was sarcasm, then you seriously misunderstood my last two posts in this thread.

Yeah they really were.

I've been looking through QB's uncommitted and came across this kid.

http://rivals.yahoo.com/kansasstate/football/recruiting/player-K.J.-Carta-Samuels-139388

4 Star on rivals, 3 offers
4 Star on ESPN + ESPN 300 athlete, 2 offers

How does this guy not have more offers? I don't mind losing sharp, but our backup plans don't impress me much either, when guys like this are still on the board.

Guys I wouldn't worry about it.  Next year is Waters then Sams so we don't really have to worry for 3 years.  That's a long time and I'm sure something will happen by then.

First.... that would make a recruit this year be a redshirt sophomore. Second, if we got  complete stud and Sam was WR, he would start next year as a Redshirt Freshman. It is a pretty big deal.

There is always a chance that the dude has way more offers and has even made up his mind, but just doesn't talk to the writers, I guess.
