no one cares about OL fwiw

From a recruiting rankings standpoint, sure.  However, ever OC in the history of football with disagree with you.

Art Briles just laughed in your faces.

How so?  Baylor just ran for nearly 500 yards last night and Griffin credited his OL for the win.

That same line couldn't protect RGIII for more than slow three-count.  I put those stats on RGIII/Wright/Gannaway before I do the OL.  Washington's defense was awful, too, just awful.

All I'm saying is that there is a model where having more skilled "skill players" and less skilled OL players can work and win.  I can't think of a better example than Baylor this year.
You're right, you don't need that good of an oline as long as your qb is the best in the country.  I think it may be a little easier to recruit a pretty good offensive line, than to have a heisman trophy winning qb every year.

Britz All Metro:

DEFENSIVE LINE Travis Britz, Harrisonville, senior. Britz, a 6-foot-4, 280-pound Kansas State commit, was a monster in the middle of a stout Harrisonville defense. Few opponents could match up with Britz’s size and strength, and it showed as he recorded 70 tackles and seven sacks despite missing a handful of games because of injury. Britz won the Bobby Bell Award, which is given to the best small-class lineman or linebacker in Kansas City.

6'5", 340 is one big ass DL.  Would take based solely on offers and sized.  Also,  :shakesfist:  if Leach gets him.

This isn't a "sour grapes" post, but I know for a kid to choose a school, that school has to express interest in them coming to play for them.

A non-sour grapes response is no response at all.

could be an interesting stretch run in recruiting per GPC board.

 :emawkid:
Academics is a stupid word.

Academic schools are synonymous for being rich, powerful and exclusive, three things Kansas State is not.

So when people throw the word "academics" around, that's really what they are referencing.

I'll say this...key juco pieces were much easier to pick up when we were winning 10, 11 games.

Seems like Ol' Snyds has schemed quite a few players late in the game since his resurrection.  :dunno:

His January recruiting has always been fairly prolific if nothing more than the sheer numbers he pulls in during the last two or three weeks.

I don't think we were ever in on this guy, but someone mentioned how awesome it would be to get him.

How were we "not in" on a guy who visited?  But we've gained a commit from our first preference (Rooks) since he visited.  I'm not sure if we will still actively recruit him or not.  It appears we may have 4 to 5 guys we can rely on next year at the moment...4 of which are upperclassmen.  If we can still get Goines he would likely be first preference.  We need to develop young tackles.

I meant I didn't remember if we were recruiting him, or if someone had just said it'd be nice to get him.

I think Dorial Green-Beckham is considering KSU. He's the #2 player in the upcoming class.

Oh wait, nevermind. He's coming to Arkansas to play in the SEC.

Are you in middle school? You sound like you're in middle school. You are the least creative poster I have ever seen post on any site ever, and that's not an exaggeration. Talk crap on K-State all you want, I don't care, but you have to make it funny. Good God. Go sit in the corner, read a joke book or something, take some notes, regroup and come back.
