The Iowa High School Activities Association is literally the dumbest rough ridin' high school activities association in america. After Jake Rubley played 4 games this year, he has been ruled ineligible. Probably for the best for us because he hasn't done crap, 3 touchdowns, 2 INTs. His offensive line is trash, and he was going to get killed. I think he was sacked 6 times last Friday.

Missed this, but to your point maybe he’ll stop taking the beating. Weird season carries on.
Maybe we need to turn our attention to the Rutz kid.

Full disclosure, only watched the one rivals highlight video:

Peggy Po’s: as noted, looks to have great size and speed combo, seems to slither in and out rather than juke which is a good indication of good body control and kinesthetic awareness. Loved how he was able to turn and make catches thrown behind him while barely breaking stride or losing speed.

Neg Nancy’s: His competition is straight trash for Texas so hard to really tell how he compares to better talent. Wish there where camps this summer that we could get some reports out of. Would have liked to seen him go up and high point a little more. There’s a couple clips of him doing it but he doesn’t get a lot of height, but when you’re 6’4” you don’t necessarily need a huge vertical. The flip side of not seeing much juking/sharp change of direction could be poor agility.
He transferred to Colleyville Heritage, not trash.

Well that sure as hell isn’t Heritage in the video so his competition on tape is still straight
216 receiving yards & 3 TD’s in the season opener vs Grapevine for Brennan Hawkins.

So apparently Bryce Brown is Wichita East's Offensive Coordinator now and according to my super inside scoop guy "They have a ton a good players". Will Bryce send all these studs up to Manhattan?

A quick google search tells me they have true freshmen QB who ran for like a bajillion touchdowns last week.

We sent him to the league, it only seems fair

I don't think he enjoyed his time in MHK but I'm guessing that was more of his issues with OB.
I once blew clove smoke in a guy's face that cut in front of me in the line to KJ's.

I honestly don't even remember who was before Triplette, but we've played damn near everyone not COVID'd and he hasn't played a lick. We're going to have to lose some players to make up for no one losing eligibility. It's undetermined if the NCAA will relax the scholarship limits for a couple of years, but even if they did, we can't afford to have 110 guys on scholarship. The recruits we are bringing in and have targeted at his position have higher ratings and better offers.

Can you clarify what you mean by “Palo Mao is still around”? I know he chose to sit out, but is he in Manhattan or back in Arizona? Anyone know?

Jake Rubley is officially done with high school football. The judge who ruled Arland oscar eligible, ruled Rubley ineligible because oscar was 17 when his mother moved to Iowa but Rubley was 18 when his family moved. Not for nothing but West Des Moines Valley has looked better offensively since Rubley was ruled ineligible. They're using our guy Jayden Williams a bit more.
