The Wildcats’ top-ranked recruit, Scott Frantz, is expected to lead the offensive line one day. A guy like Applegate can help Frantz form a scary 1-2 combo on the line. Applegate is high on Kansas State, but Arkansas is a strong contender, as well. Some may consider Arkansas a favorite, but the Wildcats won’t go out without a fight.

Redshirt senior RB Venric Mark has decided to transfer from Northwestern.

This is a bit of a shock. Mark was suspended by Northwestern coaches for the first two games of the 2014 season "for a violation of team policy," but when on the field the Wildcats used Mark as a workhorse back. Mark says he wants to play closer his family (he is from Texas). The redshirt senior is one class away from getting his degree, so we are not sure if he will be eligible to play immediately for an FBS program. Mark missed a large portion of last season due to an ankle injury.
