I don't have any socks, but I know a couple of folks that do.

I like to think of my regular login as a sock account and the sock account that I don't have as a serious login name that I wouldn't use.

I have a sock I use to test all my posts. If they're well-received, I immediately delete them and repost under main login.

Until Steve Dave and Trim were outed as actual people, I just assumed that everyone on here and the old board, except me and Bookcat, is a fatty sock.  I'm still not convinced that it is the real Terry Pierce over there.
