Someday I'm gonna quit being cheap and get me a seat at the ropinfeet table. Maybe if we fire Pearl. I just want to post "the money is there" and "liar" comments on twitter.

Stay calm.  Currie has never let us down yet and I'm sure he has a contingency plan to replace Frank with an equivalent coach in terms of proven winning, post season appearances, and national exposure.

Also, as the starter of this thread, I would just like to clarify that it was brought to us by racquetcat. That man ONLY sponsors winning threads.

While we're on the trend of complementing raquetcat, I thought I would re-post this gem:

The latest from a buddy of mine who works in the South Carolina athletic department

third party talks have begun with Martin.. According to people on our end, if offered the position Frank will be our next coach

The "big donor" at Marquette is a man named Dick Strong.  He used to own a mutual fund and brokerage firm until Spitzer nailed him for market timing and late trading.

He is barred from investment advisory by the SEC for life.  But, he's still worth well north of $500M.

His nemesis is a man who used to work with him, who is an equally wealthy Bucky alumni and booster.

Dick used to use his firm as a mechanism to pay Tom Crean $100Ks a year for merely showing up on site and giving pep talks to the staff.

This man is/was capable of a great deal of influence.

It took an opportunity like IU to get Crean.  I doubt anyone outside of a historic top 20 program will get Buzz.

I'm having 'roid rage like mood swings about Unds. I hear names like Jank and Henson thrown about and want Unds so bad it hurts. Then I hear Pearl and hate the thought of Unds. Then I hear Boyle and think eff it, Boyle, Unds, whatever. As great as the bbs'ing will be during this search, I just want it over so I can rejoice or meltdown.

If we don't get a great name, from the top of SD's list. I want Unds.

The bottom line is that is Currie doesn't make an acceptable hire then he might be legally Fake Sugar Dick (WARNING, NOT THE REAL SUGAR DICK!). Too many decent names in this search to totally eff this up.

I know, I know. I'm just saying that if I'm going to have to deal with the let down of not getting one of the bigger names/flashier coaches, I don't want to go into a deep depression about having such a shitty coach. When we come out of this debacle, if it's not riding a big splash hire triumphantly onto the shore Mackin' on hoes and giving out Pearl necklaces, having our school Pastnered all over ESPN, if we can't come off looking Smart for watching FM go this AM, if there is going to be no great Buzz, I at least want to surface Underwood and float safely on in.

Kirk H. Schulz ? @kstate_pres
NO “@thadachek: @kstate_pres, if a coach had a show-cause order on him but promised never to do bad stuff again would he be considered?”

I though during the presser, Currie said multiple times that there were no predetermined parameters. This seems like a predetermined parameter to me. #pearl4KSU
