Jordy Nelson's 140 receiving yards are most by a Green Bay Packer in a Super Bowl, breaking the team record by Max McGee in Super Bowl I.

Can Jordy Nelson do anything wrong?
« Reply #60 on: February 07, 2011, 08:10:37 AM »
Maybe I'm the jerk, but the unconditional love for Jordy Nelson is kind of over the top. Shirt tucks believe that he should have been the MVP over Aaron Rodgers, even though Rodgers completed 61.5% of his passes while Jordy Nelson caught 60% of his passes. But he deserves the MVP because he tries harder than everybody else, cares more. Seriously, Jordy shits gold but doesn't take the gold because money doesn't matter.

Sorry for the rant, shirt tucks are getting to me. They're being all  :jerk: about Jordy and probably  :opcat: about Freeman

Jordy just had the game of his career in the Super Bowl.

Why ?

because people that think that are rough ridin' stupid.  Jordy had a nice game, but not mvp, even if he caught every pass.  Aaron rough ridin' Rodgers is the best qb in the nfl right now.

Tampa Bay needs to get to a Super Bowl soon, there would probably only be one thread on Freeman and it would be filled with "yeah he's good, but he reminds me of the Ron Prince-era" posts

its not too far fetched. if he hadn't dropped a couple of those balls, or caught some of the big ones, it would have been Rice like. however, he did. so we don't have to worry about it.

I think those 3 dudes getting a combined 20.5 votes out of 20 is already pretty interesting.

You are a Fake Sugar Dick (WARNING, NOT THE REAL SUGAR DICK!).  Deion Branch won MVP of Super Bowl XXXIX, and he didn't even catch a TD Pass.  On the other hand, Tom Brady was the best QB in the game at the time and was 23 of 33 for 236 yards with 2 touchdown passes in that game.  It is not unprecedented for a WR to win MVP.  Not only that, but 11 catches is a super bowl record.  If Jordy doesn't drop those three balls, he breaks the record.

I used to be a big Steelers fan growing up, but when they drafted that cheap shot artist, a part of me died.   Not that he wasn't a good player or a good draft choice, but I just can't bring myself to root for that SOB's team.  Sucks that I have not been able to properly enjoy the Steelers winning their last two Super Bowls.

Combine that POS Polamalu with Rothlisburger's sexual assault case versus KSU hero Jordy Nelson, and I had no problem rooting for the Packers last night.   :ksu:

Yes, and he had a better 2005 season (8 TDs) than he did in 2006 (1 TD) for Prince.  OK Cat is just a complete Fake Sugar Dick (WARNING, NOT THE REAL SUGAR DICK!).  No getting around it.

http://www.sports-reference.com/cfb/players/jordy-nelson-1.html

you conveniently left out 2007 (under prince) when he had a monster year and ended up getting drafted because of it.  Without 2007's 122 receptions/1600 yds/11tds, Jordy is working at mcdonalds in junction city.  OB had nothing to do with Jordy Nelson's career, Fake Sugar Dick (WARNING, NOT THE REAL SUGAR DICK!).
