Yes, can't wait for the parade of simultaneously weeping and goose-stepping soliders.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, K-State fans could have beheaded the entire KU team at midcourt, and K-State fans would be celebrating it this morning.  They are the ISIS of Big 12 fanbases.

I imagine they are sad about the fact that the guy who ok's them getting food just died.  Who knows if the guy's Fake Sugar Dick (WARNING, NOT THE REAL SUGAR DICK!)/insane 28yr old son will share food like his pops did.

Place is ripe for an upheaval and look at that, we just happen to need a place for about a hundy thou soldiers to go in two weeks.

Not saying it's my preference...

The people in the pictures all have surprisingly nice looking coats. I wonder if that's because they have no heat during the winter. Jimma would approve.

Kind of a similar deal...

http://www.ibtimes.com/articles/267862/20111215/china-abandoned-wonderland-theme-park.htm

man, I love crap like this.

In China, but the only language on that main sign is English.

I am assuming they were hoping for tourists considering the average chinese couldn't afford to park there, let alone get on the Shanghai Shooter.

Those are the people chosen by the government to pretend they are sad. I'm sure the coats were taken away after the photo shoot.  They probably got an extra cup of rice for for being good citizens.

Maybe they get to keep the coats?

I had no idea he was such an avid and successful composer of opera.  And golfer.  And movie producer.

travel blog (read all four parts)

Would be so fascinating to visit
I really enjoyed getting this perspective.  This was my favorite:

The highlight for me a comedy routine with plate spinning that enlisted an audience member, obviously a plant, but to see this man in his dark suit with Kim Il Sung pin stumble around in slapstick seemed almost subversive after what I had seen on the streets for several days, and I laughed and laughed.

If you poke around at all online, you can see a bunch of documentaries that basically follow this same trip itinerary.  It might be in this thread somewhere.

What a great line:

Air Koryo made its thrice-weekly journey four decades back to the future.
