on costco it says tmobile so I'm guessing you've got to be a new tmobile customer to get it for 129.99.  re: galaxy s3

tempted for iphone five but dont' want the fees.

If you were getting an HTC phone sent to you in a possibly shady manner (possibly not shady at all though too) and this was the description, what would you think it was?

Have a line on a phone, should get it shipped tomorrow. Will be pre-release version but good as new. Just don't take to VZ store :-)

I am also very pleased with mine.   The one complaint I have is a stupid one.   It's almost too thin.   I have a hard time (sometimes) with it slipping out of my hand.

I'm expecting it Monday, maybe Tuesday.  Coming in a box along with a fake display version and a bunch of spare parts.  Swiftcat, revealPAK?

I thought the cardboard box was gonna contain a loose working phone, a plastic shell of a phone and some pins, whatever those were. Open it up and there's just a droid DNA box like what a new phone comes in. Perfect. Open that up and there's a brand new phone, looks great. I tell Gooch that I'm glad I don't have to worry about pins and fake phones. Then I pull on this separator thing and there's a 2nd phone. Looks and feels exactly like the first one but apparently is fake. Underneath that was a big bag of custom HTC metal things with poker deals on the ends to put in the hole that pops out SIM cards or something. All of this packed in a relatively small retail box for a phone. So, guess I've got a new droid DNA plus a decoy one.

And if anybody needs their SIM cards popped out but hates paperclips, I'm your man.

I have my own HTC branded sim opener tool

My suggestion. Keep your dummy phone in your right pocket if someone tries to mug you (and you don't want to choke them out) let them have the decoy.

As far as the DNA goes, if you can get past the size, you should enjoy it. The screen is probably the best on any smartphone as far as pixel density, viewing angles, and color replication goes.
