If you're on Sprint and not using Google Voice integration, you're crazy.
I don't really know what that that would do for me.

Same.  Cheaper international rates, but they still aren't the cheapest

Texts and voicemail in the cloud. You can get voicemail transcribed and emailed to you. Lots of good features. And you don't have to use the crappy default texting app.

Not sure what the benefits of having texts and VMs in the cloud are, I'll chalk that up to being a noob.  Also my stock voicemail app transcribes and I hate it.  I have never used the stock texting app, as recommended several times, handcent is very good.  Glad it works for you, sounds like depending on what phone you have the benefits could widely vary.

I can text or access voicemail from any tablet or computer. If you're on your tablet and get a voicemail, you don't need to switch devices. Thats the big thing for me. Also if you get a new phone or reset your device, you keep all your texts and stuff. Other features like conference calling, personalized features, etc. are icing.

Being able to forward VMs easily and painlessly from anywhere is kinda awesome.

Ah I see, that makes a lot more sense.

I just like text and make calls from my phone.  I don't know why I'd throw in an extra step.

Push messaging button.  Type Message.  Press Send.  Which step does it eliminate?

It really doesn't help on the actual phone IMO, although I do like the voicemail interface far more than dialing a number and waiting on menus. What I like is what you can do on the computer - texting, calling, and listening to VM.

but goddam they need to add mms for more than sprint.

If you're already on a computer you're throwing in an extra step by grabbing your phone to text. I text from my computer at work all the time.

This.  I also make calls from my computer by clicking on hyper-linked phone numbers.

I text from email when I have a long text to type.  I've also used it in some instances where I didn't have my phone handy or it was dead.

Try google voice. It's seriously much more friendly than texting from email.

Today is the day I can finally get rid of my busted screened EVO.  Can't decide between getting the GS II Epic now or wait a few more weeks for the EVO LTE.

What will happen to your old phone?  A MIR game-used (destroyed by Trim) phone could make a unique FFF trivia game prize.

So what happened to the GS III?  It was supposed to launch this week but I haven't heard a word about it.  It's obvious that the EVO LTEs will be here soon because they no longer sell the EVO 4G or EVO 3D.  Sprint is stinn selling the GS II Epic.  Does this mean that the GS III is not at all eminent?

the EVO 4G LTE hits retail tomorrow.

Sadly, we switched to Verizon this week, so I'm stuck with a Razor Maxx.

Evo lte is out right now. GS3 probably won't be out until July. I'm eligible for an upgrade, but I'll wait until the GS3 is announced to decide between the two.
