I love my giant EVO screen and I have adjusted my life around the shitty battery life.  :dunno:

When I'm due for an upgrade in September it will be a hard choice between GSII/III and iPhone.  :ohno:

alamedacat asked for hours and it's all i could find.

all that i know is that battery life is no longer something i need to think about.

Yeah, I wasn't meaning to knock what you posted because that's what they give us. But they should say "you can surf the web for 2 hours, read twitter for 30 minutes, send 15 texts, take 6 pics, and make 2 phone calls and still count on having 30% battery life". That's what people want to know.

And I agree, there are very few days where I hook it to the charger at the end of the day with less than 20% left.

yeah, everyone uses phones differently. Like, a lot differently. I work w/ a guy who just has an iphone because he's a designer. He's like, "I have to have it. I don't know how to do anything on it but text and make calls, but I have to have it."

My big holdups on iphone:

media player options - I am just annoyingly picky and specific with how I handle my music
I like my cheapo Virgin Mobile plan. I mean I would have to pay triple/month what I do now (minimum) to get an iphone.

Yeah, I don't know how to help you with either of those.

My work allows me to get an 18% discount with Verizon.  :gocho:

My EVO has been great but I'm getting an iphone this week.  my battery is old balls (not the phone's fault) and I burn through it after 2 hours of bar twitter.  Am going to need something new before vegas and cannot reason buying a new battery.

I'm the same way.  My cheap chinese extended battery is starting to swell, and my EVO is spontaneously rebooting about 3 times a weel.   Leaning towards a Galaxy II assuming I stay with Sprint.    My boss has a wierd thing about long term contracts and paying for software maintenance agreements....he just hates doing it, even though you can't avoid it.   Hate the iPhone though.

When my EVO battery started to swell Sprint replaced it for free.

Yep, don't fall victim to peer pressure from these fools, stick with Android

Also I just got a 4G signal here in Wichita.  It was faint, but there was a signal.

My girlfriend has an iPhone. I started out with Android, so I always wondered if I was missing out on iOS. Just this weekend, I discovered 3 or 4 things that I really enjoy about Android that I wouldn't be able to do on iOS.

1. I wanted to add some songs to her iPhone, but because she was synced with another computer, I wasn't able to without erasing all of her music. With android, it would be as simple as dragging and dropping (or getting them straight from my dropbox account and skipping the computer all together)

2. Additional Keyboards. I love being able to text one handed, being that I use the elite swype keyboard. With iOS, that wouldn't happen. Another thing with keyboards, iOS apparently doesn't have a user dictionary? So I can change which words get auto corrected. That's annoying.

3. I know its simple, but I wanted to change the color of the text bubbles on my SMS app. I know its something simple and ultimately not that useful, but it's something I did with my android phone that I wouldn't be able to do with an iPhone.

4. Toggle buttons in the notification bar. This is specific to Touch Wiz phones (or cyanogenmod, if you flash roms) But I love being able to turn my wifi on without having to leave the app, or turn screen rotation off when I'm laying down in bed and don't want the phone to switch to landscape.  With iOS, i would have to go to the settings app, find wifi, turn it on, double click the home button, and go back to my app.

Hopefully this information is useful for anyone debating the switch from one or the other, but I'm happy with android for now, and can't see myself switching in the near future.

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

That isn't the problem. The problem is that iTunes would have erased all of her music because she was syncing with a new computer.

It looks pretty great.  I cannot imagine what the hell you are going to do with Windows Mobile on a phone though.
