I'm excited to announce that after having a Google phone for 4 years, I'm finally becoming a Google fi customer starting tomorrow.
How has it been? I'm thinking about it.
Can't answer for mir but I've had fi for about 5 years now, love it, never looked back, very few issues and most were early on in early adoption. About the only issue I still have is it sometimes tried to hard to use wifi for calls at home and that can lead to poor quality but outside of that, super easy. Travel is the best with it, I've gone to Iceland, Germany, Austria, Dominican Republic, Canada, and Mexico and other than it taking a little time after landing for it to figure out where it is (like a minute) it works just like in the US. Virtually seamless travelling internationally.
I often spend $50 or less a month, only time it spikes is when travelling, so you gotta be mindful but it caps after like 6GB so you can't spend too much, but there will be throttle. I rarely use that much data since 90% of my time is spent at home or at work, or WFH, so it can be cheap if you're on wifi a lot. For me the overall price is fairly cheap, quality is pretty good, and internationally it's so, so good.
