Counter to my own argument: pretty sure I haven't changed phones since the band debacle last year, but something must have updated on mine to where it was less intuitive to find the thing that lets me draw male genitals and ball(s) outlines around KSU band twitter pictures.  Or I was too drunk to remember the easy steps to do that.

It does, but I didn't see enough to justify the price difference for me to get it.

From what I understand the 8/+ are equal to the normal s or c mid tier update and the x is like a special edition or something

I've got a 6s. Due for an upgrade from the company this year, but I have to pay extra for anything above the base model 8. If I only have to pay an extra $300 for the X I might consider it.

I'm fine sticking with the screen size and physical home button on the 8. But a significant camera improvement might sway me. I'd like to finally ditch the bulky SLR when traveling and I'm wondering if the new dual camera array is finally going to rival SLR performance and even provide superior HDR right out of the box.

Dual cameras are mostly a gimmick, the only thing they do better is that sharp focus on an item with out of focus everything else shot

The Samsung version of it on the S8 is kind of clunky. Have to hold your phone/face just right.
