In the meantime, the current phone is charging pretty well laid flat with it laid flat on my desk and about half the cord flat across the desk too and 3 CD cases sitting on top of the cord close to where it plugs in. 

I'm sure Johnny Wichita still has an old flip phone or two laying around if things get desperate.

you know what sucks crap? being the phone family plan gatekeeper and paying the huge initial line charge and fees and then having your UP TO TEN family members say, "Yeah, just add a line for me for $X a month and I'll pay you for it" and then they reap super cheap unlimited data bennys while I'm still paying like $150 a month or some crap.

There are some benefits of being irresponsible and not a real adult

That would be my sister paying my dad $50 a month for two lines on my dad's plan. Meanwhile, I'm chucking $220 a month for five lines.

I had the s7 edge and returned it because I hated that edge thing... But all the reviews said the note executes the edge much better so I'm getting it tomorrow.

Yeah at this point it's hard to switch out of the Google or apple ecosystems if you are doing it right.
