To be honest, I was pretty content with Samsung/Android and wasn't planning to switch. The Note 4 and 6+ both came out and I was just planning to stay with what I had. Then through work I got an iPad mini and remembered that Apple still makes cool stuff that operates well and is easy to use. I also found I could still get value trading in my Note 3 and that Wal-Mart had the 6+ on sale, so my net pay for the 6+ was less than $50. I had minor issues with the Note 3/Android occasionally that were irritating, but not enough to switch to Apple, and I wouldn't have switched back if Apple hadn't (finally) made a bigger phone which is why I went back to Android from Apple in the first place. (4s to HTC DNA to Note 3)
Also I'm a weird phone connoisseur, though addict may be a better word for it.
