two recaps of Frank on 810 this morning

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- Best defensive effort of the season vs Baylor. It looked like an "ugly" game because we couldn't make a layup and were firing up airballs. But we hit some shots when we needed to. We really needed this win badly for team confidence.

- Proud of Pullen's effort on Lace Dunn. Held the Big12 scoring champ to a pitiful shooting %

- Proud of the 2 freshman Spradling and Southwell. Thought they played very well and also played good defense.

- Commented on his player rotations. "You guys (media) complain about me using 11 guys, then you ask why Judge and Russell didn't play". "I can't win with you guys (media)." It was just funny.

- Commented on the Thomas Robinson situation. Just feels bad about the whole deal. Talked for quite awhile about it actually.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
-Took responsibility for not helping Jake, Curtis and Jamar become leaders.

-Expected and passed off that responsibility and shouldn't have.

-Had a call from a close friend after Colorado loss. Frank said he was fine, but his friend said he'd never seen a look on his face like that. That's when Frank started to re-evaluate his coaching.

-He is putting the guys on the court that are doing the correct things, and that give them the best chance to win.

-Said that Wally will play when he is able to do the things that they ask on a consistent basis.

-Tired of the media telling him to shorten his rotation, and then get on him for not playing more people.

-Need to get more players involved, especially at the guard position, to help limit some of their minutes (mostly Jake).

-Talked about Robinson situation. Was really saddened by it and hopes the NCAA will help him and his sister out in some way.

-KU is going to be a tough game (shocker there).

One phone call from Bob Huggins just turned our season around.

Sounds like Darren Kent gave Frank a phone call at just the right time.

On a related note.

If Kirby and Laird fought to the death, I would pick Laird.  Laird is taller and much better looking.

Might happen if they try to steal Frank.

laird would kill hocut. also how funny would it have been if hocut would've hired venables and then stole frank. that would've been very funny. not ksu tricking usnews into naming ksu tier1 funny, but still pretty funny. go cats.

Heard something on the Baylor pre-game show about KSU aiming to be Tier 1 by some year after 2020.  Didn't catch the exact year.

Laird and Venables look so much alike that they remind me of the Olsen twins.  Venables is the one with anorexia.  Kirby may hire both of them along with Frank.

Nice job of putting an on-air discussion into an easy to read format.  Much appreciated.

In response to one of Greg's responses though, I would prefer a member of the media first conduct an interview with LHC Bill Snyder that cuts through his ambiguity and makes him uncomfortable about the shortcomings of his program the last several years.
