Idk how evrybdy here feels bout this but i really dont see why Myles n Petersen are not on the floor more.  Myles is really a pretty good ball handler and scorer, much better than i thought he would be and D-Pete is athletic as crap, the kinda athletic that we need on the floor at the 2 or 3 spot, not even against him bringing ball up court with his speed.

mainly because they don't have a clue on offense or defense.

Although, I believe driving to the rim hard without passing it to anyone is better than 95% of our half-court sets.  Their defense is bad, though.

I love 95 as much or more than anyone.  But, he is completely lost on the court.  Tried hard and will go 1 on 5 to the basket though....which I appreciate.

D-Pete has definitely been improving. How hard can it be to learn offensive sets? :ck:

How hard is it to get qualified to attend Kansas State University with 3 years to work on it post high school?

My thoughts exactly.  Those dudes catch the ball on Offense, look around for about 2 seconds, then take it to the rack.

Plus: offense is not 95's main problem.

Which is pretty awesome.

And how long do people have to watch Frank Martin basketball to understand that guards (esp. Pullen) aren't failing if they "get beat" off the dribble?  It's the help defense that's failing.

Yeah.  Frank really gets on the guards for two things; not being in help position/seeing the ball (while playing ridiculous deny defense, very hard to do) and losing your man/not moving quick enough to contest 3 PT shots.  But if you pressure and get beat, he gets ticked at the bigs (or other guards) 90% of the time.

I hate it when people complain, "we shouldn't guard them out there, they won't shoot it from that far away".  Our help defense has been atrocious this year, and I can't figure out why.

Don't feel too bad. Frank can't figure out why either.

Because there isn't just one way to rotate your help defensively or who you rotate off of, and in high level college basketball you have to vary your rotations.  If teams figure out how you rotate defensively (or who you rotate off of), especially when you are as agressive as we are, then they will find ways to isolate your poor defenders and create favorable match-ups.  Your rotations for help can't be predictable.  We have enough young guards that we haven't been able to become consistent in this and it leads to many of the breakdowns we have had.  There really are lots of layers in how we play our agressive man defense and you can't progress to the next layer if you don't master the one previous and this group has struggled with that.

95's heroic drives to the basket give me hope.

You'll one day tell you grand kids stories about 95's legendary first step.

You'll point to the 95 banner up in the rafters of the OOD and tell them, "I was there".

Remember when we tore Jimmer a new bad person? Remember when Clemente elbowed Jimmer's rough ridin' nose ON PURPOSE at midcourt? We were so awesome last year.

Its been a major component of every loss except CU.  CU was our only loss in which we hit better than 29% from 3.
