Looks like Frank has given releases to two starters.

they think underwood is a great recruiter and they think jeter is tied to him.

yes. yes they do. I think next year will be an interesting one for them. Frank's style is very difficult for casual fans.

Can't blame the guy for wanting a decent PG on his side to help him develop. Do whatever is best AG, hope that means staying put when we get a PG in the next week or two...

winning a lot more than they did this year will probably help them adjust.

Re-extend the offer Webs, it's only right*:

Xavier Rathan-Mayes, SG, CIA Bounce – The performance of the day came from Rathan-Mayes. With his CIA Bounce squad down double figures midway through the second half he absolutely came alive and torched the Milwaukee Rebels. For the game Rathan-Mayes went for 41 points and did it in as impressive a way as possible. He scored going to the rim, hit from deep, and also showed his great mid-range game. It was extremely impressive efficiency, and Rathan-Mayes dominated an entire half of basketball giving his team an overtime win.

Hitting Chicago hard:

"Colorado State, Wichita State, Xavier, Kansas State, Oklahoma State, those are the schools I know that are coming after me the hardest," Davis said.

"When I last talked to my father who is handling my recruitment he told me that Minnesota was looking at me as well," said Davis. "At this point I am in the real early stage of my recruitment so I am really open."

FWIW, Alvin Ellis, the 6'5" wing from Chicago that KSU recently offered, and his AAU team, Meanstretts, won the 17-U title this past weekend at the Swish N' Dish tourney in Milwaukee. According to Brian Snow, Ellis is a very good athlete who plays with a lot of effort and can be a high level defender. He apparently did a solid job of defending Jabari Parker in Meanstreets victory over the Mac Irvin Fire. Word is that the Meanstreets 17U team is absolutely loaded with prospects.

Good to see our heads and hearts are in the right place:

Xavier Rathan-Mayes (Brampton, Ontario/Huntington Prep)
2013, SG, 6-4, 205 pounds
Rathan-Mayes is flat-out wired to score. He can get to the rim and finish through contact or with touch and body control on either side of the rim. He can hit the midrange jumper off the catch or rhythm dribble and he knocks down open 3s with a smooth, strong release and good elevation. Overall, Rathan-Mayes is a good, but not great, athlete who could improve his explosion but his offensive skill and feel for the game is the real deal. Florida State, Kansas, Connecticut, Kansas State, Illinois and NC State, among others have offered thus far.

BOSSI!

Quote
I would expect oscar Weber and Chris Lowery to hit Kansas City the first day they can be on the road (Thursday I think). Clayton Custer and Semi Ojeleye are priorities for them to see and I think that they'll also try to stop by and see 6-foot-8 power forward Tory Miller (2013) at Lee's Summit North.

People close to Laimonas Chatkevicius say that nothing has been decided regarding his status yet. K-State will be happy to keep him on if he wants to stay, but he's significantly linked to Underwood and my personal opinion is that he will end up asking for a scholarship release.

Wouldn't be surprised to see Cats try and get in on Michigan transfer Evan Smotrycz but it may be too late for that with him already setting up visits.

Bossi has his ear to the ground, Weber at Lee's Summit North to check on Miller, looks like he was previously recruiting him at Illinois. We'll see how KSU's foray at PNR works this time:

"#50  Tory Miller  C  6’8  (2013) – Tory Miller is a big, physical post player for the Lee’s Summit North Broncos.  Tory has good moves on the low post but needs to work on putting moves together.  With his big body he can maneuver around smaller high school players; however, at the college level he will need to shore up his offensive game by making more than one offensive move to the basket (he still has plenty of time).  Tory does a good job rebounding the ball, and is an intimidating force down low on the defensive end.  Tory has good foot work and above average hands."

http://rivals.yahoo.com/ncaa/basketball/recruiting/player-Tory-Miller-114157

Miles in Nubbland just offered Miller.

FWIW, Miller's uncle is Clint McDaniel, big part of the Nolan Hog glory days.

Prior relationship with Parker will get K-State in the door, but I think actually landing him will be a pretty tall order. I would expect KSU to feel that one out early and make a decision whether it's worth their time to devote a lot of effort there.

Semi Ojeleye will obviously be a major target in 2013 and they are definitely interested in Ishmail Wainright as well.

Once the staff gets finalized and they can go out and watch guys, names will start to pop up.

Kline
Nebraska has offered 2013 Mac Irvin Fire (IL) PG Kyle Davis, per his coach.

Davis visited Nubb last weekend along with a handful of other Mac Irvin recruits, including Okafor which sd posted about earlier.

His best teams at Illinois had two PG's on the floor at the same time.
