Like Watkins, 6-foot-8, 195-pound small forward Tyler Roberson is also going to a new school this year. The class of 2013 prospect previously attended Union (NJ), but is now set to be at Roselle Catholic (NJ).

“Like, mostly because of like schoolwork,” Roberson said of his decision to make the transfer. “[This] could help me with my academics and they also have a good basketball team.”

As far as recruiting goes, Roberson has a host of schools coming after him.

“Kansas, Kansas State, a lot of Big East, like most of the Big East,” Roberson said of his list, adding, “A lot of other schools I can’t remember right now.”

Roberson said he holds offers from Cincinnati, Rutgers, Seton Hall, Kansas State and St. Joseph’s. He claims no favorites at this point.

“They’re all coming at me pretty hard,” Roberson said.

Location will not be a factor for Roberson, who said he has yet to visit any schools and has no trips planned.

“Sometime senior year,” Roberson said of his commitment timetable. “It could change though.”

McNeck offers Jorgenson, Jorgenson in turn, is taken aback by the cosmopolitan utopia of the Midwest, otherwise known as Omaha  :surprised::

"Everything on the campus was really nice and clean," Jorgenson said. "I was actually surprised when I got up there and saw Omaha. I knew it wasn't cornfields but I didn't know it was that big. I really liked how the school was in the middle of everything."

Etou runs with DCA. Either that's some very outdated info on his Scout profile or my mind has officially been blown.

Insiders care to share???

1. New to the country and under the radar, not for long

Junior Etou (Jacksonville, Fla./Arlington Country Day) came to America seven months ago and recently completed his sophomore season at ACD. He played basketball in his native Congo but the experience is nothing like the high-level high school basketball and competitive AAU ball he's playing now with D.C. Assault.

Here's where Etou sets himself apart from other international players. His cousin is Serge Ibaka of the Oklahoma City Thunder. Now, Etou is not like "Air Congo." He isn't 6-10, he's closer to 6-7 but he definitely has upside and because of his situation, he's going to receive excellent tutelage and advice. He plays high school basketball for Rex Morgan, a former star collegian at Jacksonville. Ibaka is in his life and his own story of success is well-documented.

Troy Weaver is in the Oklahoma City front office and was formally a coach with D.C. Assault. That would appear to be the connection between his D.C.-based AAU team. Some of Assault's players studied at Arlington Country Day. Between Weaver's connection with the AAU program and Ibaka's mentoring, Etou has people looking out for him in the States, people who can help him develop and put him in position to succeed in the coming years. His English isn't bad (Ibaka's was not good when he arrived) but on the court his game translates just fine.

We know he's been to Florida's camp and says he watched the Gators and North Carolina when he was in Congo. Stay tuned!

price-martin identifies uconn as leader, names kstate as an also-hearing-from.
