Over the past couple of months, Freeman has been racking up offers at an impressive pace. Among those who have offered are Baylor, Florida, Georgetown, Miami, N.C. State, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, UNLV, Virginia, Virginia Tech, Wake Forest and Xavier.

Freeman would like to believe that those offers are a result of what coaches have seen from him in person and not just what they've read about him.

"The coaches that are offering have seen me play my freshman or sophomore year or in an open gym," said Freeman. "We had a ton of coaches come in the last period and had like 26 coaches from low to high majors come in. They are probably basing the offers off of that."

According to Freeman he's got no favorites and hasn't even thought about chopping down his list. He's looking into visiting Syracuse and N.C. State in August but doesn't have any firm dates.

Hmm I'm not sure if he is the right fit. Rumblings he takes a great team photo.

Why the eff haven't we offered him?

Our staff apparently thinks Malcolm Hill is better(as do most recruiting analysts FWIW).

Also offers for '14 products Richard Lee and reportedly Clayton Custer*, so for whatever reason Semi just isn't at the very top of our list right now.

*The reason I give pause to Custer's offer is that it what was reported by KCPRPEHOOPS, which is an excellent source for local recruiting news, but they also reported KSU had offered Clint McCullough a couple years back, which has turned out to not to be true.

This is going to be a  :powerespect: comment, but I'll say it anyway:

We know Semi will be skilled enough, but it's the x-factor, the leadership and strong values that he'll bring to the team.

no offense to big bro, but I haven't seen any x-factor or leadership out of him.  I guess the values part could fly if by values you meant good christian.  I guess the haircuts show some x-factor.

Let's not forget who won the 2011 Porky Morgan Most Inspirational Player Award. Unfortunately, I have a feel all that "inspiring" happens off the court, outside of practice, and probably has little to nothing to do with basketball.

K-STATE OFFERS SLEEPER BIG
Published on July 1, 2011 by admin   ·   No Comments
It looks like the recruitment of Antravious Simmons (South Miami HS) is about to pick up in a hurry. The 6’9 class of 2013 power forward recently received his first high major offer from Kansas State University. What makes this story so interesting is that Simmons is not on ANY recruiting list ANYWHERE. In the age of Facebook, Twitter, Skype, ooVoo and all the dot coms, dot nets and dot orgs that a 6’9 high major player in a major city goes unnoticed is amazing (SMH). However, Source Hoops saw Simmons back in April and college coaches who are subscribers to the Source Hoops Review already have the emerging big man on their radar. Simmons has shed about 30lbs and looks in great shape. He runs the floor well, has great hands, solid footwork and good moves in the paint.

Simmons will be traveling with Team Breakdown in July. His first stop will be at the Source Hoops Elite Camp July 5-6 at Palm Beach Atlantic University in West Palm Beach Florida. We expect his recruitment to go viral in July!!
