time to get rid of the football board
« on: January 04, 2011, 07:30:33 PM »
theres really no point to it.  As long as Snyder 2.0 is here every season will be the same with the same tired topics like "we can't recruit" or "we can't play defense" and we will end up with the same boring repetitive and predictable 7 win seasons.

the only interesting topics anymore deal with making fun of other schools or are about college football in general.

without some kind of drastic change before next fall its going to be hard to care a whole lot.  Chris Cosh has destroyed me.

Maybe the board can be repurposed...perhaps 24 hour streaming of C-SPAN?

I sincerely enjoyed the CCQ/Team Fake Sugar Dick (WARNING, NOT THE REAL SUGAR DICK!) threads  :dunno:
"How will I recruit to Manhattan? Well, distance. And the proud state of basketball. It start there, and then daily flights to Dallas, because I'm really good at going out. Like top five good. Ask my wife. She wants me to be happy."

I enjoyed this year more than the 36 consecutive years of less than 7 wins (1955-1990).   :dunno:

Wins over ku and Texas were awesome LOL message boarding times.  Also opening weekend with our UCLA win & ku losing to North Dakota State.

CCQBOAT leading "The Drive" against UCF was pretty great, if only for the 100 simultaneous "Guess we're not saving that for Nebraska" GPC threads after the screen to McDonald.

When I think about the myriad things we were "saving for Nebraska" according to GPCers, my mind immediately brings up that scene at the end of Raiders of the Lost Ark, with the giant warehouse full of never-opened, unmarked crates.

Does this board smell like old farts, or is it the caca being spread all over.  :dunno:

This is funny, but not as funny as believing that we were in a position to hold anything back prior to Nebraska.

No matter how horrible our football team is, some of us need a place to hope and to share our thoughts and frustrations without being bothered by women's BB fans, baseball fans, volleyball fans, or equestrian fans.  Please let this board live.

The day we really don't care about football is the day we join the Missouri Valley Conference.
