True Story....

Was watching the KSU-UMKC game in a bar in Newport Beach, CA.  Dude at the bar (25 years old or so, totally sober) looks up at the game and engages me in conversation:

Dude:  "K-State....who's that?"
Me:      "What?"  (thinking I misheard him)
Dude:  "Who's K-State?"
Me:      "You mean who are we playing?  UMKC...small school in Kansas City."
Dude:   "No" (now he drags it out, like I'm the moron)  "who....is....K....State?"
Me:      "Oh...wow....it's Kansas State"
Dude:  Tilt's head....Very puzzled look
Me:      "The University of California Kansas State"
Dude:  "Oh!!!  Hope they win."

Should have told him it was the "Kansas State Jayhawks" like the game announcers do sometimes.  Would have cleared things right up for him.
