Combos:
Pullen 34
Irving 18
Sprads 12
Russell 9
Ninety-five 8
McGruds 5
Southwell 5
Myles <5
Pullen will clearly get the bulk of the minutes here. Irving is probably the next most trusted (besides McGruds, who will also get Swing minutes), but Frank will go with the "who is practicing best" mantra opposite Pullen. Sprads/Russell will fight it out for minutes when Irving is not out there. I've seen nothing from Myles to say that he will get more than spot duty, or thrown in there when Frank gets really ticked at the rest of the young guards. The total there is more than 80, but things usually work out that way when guys don't play at all in games and some of those guys won't play at times.
SD reminded me of Ninety-five and his possibilities which only makes this more difficult for combos. I threw Ninety-five in there.
Swing:
McGruds 15
OJ 15
Samuels 8
Southwell 5
It will be interesting to see how Frank uses the swing spot. We'll see some 3 guard line-up like the Washburn game where McGruds or Southwell will get minutes here, or we'll see OJ or Samuels get minutes against bigger teams. And as expected, OJ will become the new Meri and the fans will complain about Frank playing him so much. Bank on it.
Posts:
Kelly 23
Judge 20
Asprilla 20
Samuels 12
JHR 8
With plenty of options, we'll see Frank use multiple combos of these guys. I think JHR will be the least used again b/c the other guys are simply more skilled IMHO. But against certain teams JHR will get those energy minutes he often brings in spurts. Kelly will likely be most utilized and it will be interesting to see what happens with Judge, Asprilla, and Samuels. I'm thinking Judge will still have plenty of foul prone games that will limit his minutes.
