Good read.  It looked like Texas Tech used a 3 man front some against Mizzou with success.  Do you think we'll see more of that this Saturday?

Yes, I think we'll see it this week quite a bit.

What in your opinion, helped Hartman have a much better game than we have been witnessing lately,  was it schemes that Cosh put him in that helped or maybe he just had a better night mentally or something entirely different?

It was a good match-up.  We were able to slow down UT's run game with our DL and LBs, so that put much less pressure on our safeties.  Plus, we are scheming to have Zimmerman be more involved in run support, so Hartman has less run responsibility.  Run support has really been Hartman's biggest weakness this year, then getting beat by play action and what we did Saturday night really helped protect him from that IMO.  So yeah, partially on Cosh, but he just played better as well.

Hartman is fine when he can just kinda play centerfield out there and go to where the ball is thrown.  It's when he is expected to do certain things like cover a receiver or come up for run support that he struggles.

DeArmond with an article on the defense that's been more effective against Mizzou.

So Zimmerman should be the Strong Safety and Hartman should be the Free Safety?

Interesting that man has worked well against them. We have run a lot more man starting with the Baylor game. Texas tested Harrison a ton, the only time he ready got beat UT had a penalty. I think we will see our 3 man front with 6 DBs, but only in clear passing situations because MU does have some run threats. So look for the 3 man front on second or third and long. If we can get our defensive front to make some plays like we did last week, we'll give ourselves a chance in this one.  It will be interesting to see how much success we have with the run offensively, I'm sure Snyder will look at what NU did early to gouge MU with Helu.
