Career politicians?
« on: October 29, 2010, 12:47:59 AM »
What is the deal with all these candidates accusing each other of being "career politicians" while trying to show that they themselves are not career politicians?  I don't get it.  Is this the new buzzword in politics?

If there was a gif of nicname thwarting the attempted-flag-taker and then gesturing him to suck it, followed by motioning for all of Hilton Shelter to boo him louder, it'd be better than that auburn gif.

yeah, annoys me too.

The other big one is "I will fight Obamacare" and it's somebody running for sheriff or something miniscule that has no bearing on healthcare or laws.

Yeah, that's pretty ridiculous, but I guess if 70% of the people are against something, its a pretty safe stance to take.

You cannot legislate the poor into prosperity by legislating the wealth out of prosperity.
What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving.
The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else.

Odd, most people don't have a problem with the things already changed, just like most won't have a problem when their insurance doesn't change a bit in 2014.

Except the cost of it (to cover all those with pre-existing conditions who don't sign up until they get something) or who provides it (gov't after the cost of private skyrockets out of the budgetary range of a vast portion of the people).

Insurance rates are already going up, preemptively. Health savings accounts are done, and the taxes haven't kicked in yet.
