It's inferior for sports because the choices are drastically limited as to which subscription packages you get and what RSNs are available.  Also I'm guessing that if you are worried about not being able to see the game that you didn't spring for the extra $5 a month for the sports package.  If you did and you don't know that all of the RSNs were not pulled off of the air then you are a lazy moron.

It was one network not nearly an entire tier.  You realize who owns versus and how many networks they own, the situations were not the same at all.  Directv also gave all 29 of us who called and complained something free.  Free HD DVR, free hockey package, free movie tiers, credit.
