I've been there.

I was there in the late spring.  There is a river/creek that goes around campus, and chicks (broads) in bikini tops casting off their back packs on their way to/from class and jumping in the river.  rough ridin' crazy.

I visited quite a few of the buildings and it was nice.  Doesn't have the vastness of an uber state institution, but definitely is more impressive than any non-BCS Texas campus I have seen.

Yeah, this is pretty accurate. Very nice place, and most people are chill as hell. It's got its problems like every other campus in the country, but it's an awesome place to spend 4 years.

Even when there's been really bad droughts, you can still swim in it. You just have to stay away from areas of wild rice (an endangered species that only lives on the river and nowhere else), because their stands get really, really thick.

i take back my comments about not being able to swim in it.  i was looking further towards the north side of campus

also, how much fun would it be to swim in the fish hatchery off of Staples Road and Fish Hatchery Road?  (South part of John J Stokes State Park)

Fish hatchery is more like a garbage hatchery. Don't bother, go to New Braunfels instead after you get bored w/our river. There you can actually RIDE alligators
