Fitz: K-State had to cancel theirs because nobody wanted to go. In Manhattan, it's just more football-driven. They decided it wasn't worth it.

K-State will surprise some people this season. McGruder/Samuels/Spradling are a solid core group, and then you've got guys like Henriquez-Roberts who might really take some more steps forward in development next year. Should be an interesting year for Big 12 basketball, especially with so many unknowns surrounding perennial national powerhouse - KU.

There are only a handful of programs that annually make the Big Dance, and K-State isn't one of them. Be happy with what you've got.
