"Regular people" walk into office buildings every day and murder a dozen of their coworkers.  I'm not saying the government should make preemptive arrests on people, but I don't think it hurts to red flag those who are potential lunatics/terrorists.

Who murdered a dozen of their coworkers today?

Your example has absolutely nothing to do with what I am talking about Ben.

But speaking of "pre-emptive" arrests . . . the Obama administration was pushing for that last year.

I just think it's funny how you think people are paranoid for wanting the government to focus on finding people guilty of actual crimes rather than crimes that haven't even been committed yet. Meanwhile, you justify the government spending billions of dollars to spy on innocent citizens because you are worried that one of your coworkers might come in guns blazing. I'll bet the chances of that happening are about the same as the chances of getting struck by lightning.

Aside from AQ having origins in the US, now we have the FBI pulling false flags like the underwear bomber. FBI totally let the dude on the plane. Then magically a month later we have body scanners.

Next up the CIA will probably introduce us to "The Vaginal Cavity Bomber" or something ridiculous. Then everyone will have to consult a bureaucratic gynecologist (sp?) before stepping on a plane. Even the dudes

Not that I would put it past the FBI/CIA to do something rather cynical like this, but where did this come from? Do you have a link?

You sound a little suspicious Ben.  Since you're all for the omni-surveillance and trust the Govt. to the edge, I went ahead and forwarded your contact info to the CIA & NSA.  You should be hearing from them shortly, but don't worry...I'm sure its all conejcture since you're a normal person.

Would be less than exciting.  Mostly a lot of the baby watching mickey mouse, the wife watching desperate housewives, and me bbs'ing.  Not a ratings grabber by any means.
