just google a free dvd ripper.  most have the option of ripping in and out points.

yeah, but the points are usually too broad.  one movie only has like 35 points, so you get a bunch of crap you don't want.   :dunno:

You need _33's help.

Or Nathan's.
Fifteen minutes later, when the Kansas locker room opened its doors to the media, the Jayhawks were still crying. Literally, bawling. All of them. I've never seen anything like it, and I've seen devastated college locker rooms -- after losses in the Final Four, the national championship game -- ever

Should only take a few seconds to edit out what you don't need.

if you are a mac user. download mactheripper (its free) and you can rip sections by chapters (or the entire movie). then download mpeg streamclip (its free) and in it you can take the file you just ripped (which will be a .vob file) and export it to a format powerpoint can use (avi, quicktime etc). if you are a pc user im not sure what program you can get to rip it but mpeg streamclip has a pc version too

EDIT in mpeg streamclip you can set an in and out so if you just want a 30 second clip from the chapter you ripped thats fine

question:  can't you do all that with handbrake?
