Wally injury update...

Pullen just discussed it in front of some press at the OOD:

Wally mentioned he's wearing a neck brace.
Wally's doing a lot better. Wally's joking around and making fun of the neck brace but the surgery went well. Hopefully we can have him back in three to four weeks. About the time school is getting ready to roll around, hopefully Wally can be back in the gym getting back into shape.

A precautionary surgery?
He had injured himself at the McDonald's All-American game and they just wanted to make sure if anything occurred, it wouldn't hurt him as bad. It was basically precautionary to make sure everything would be all right.

Did it bother him at all this past year?
When you hurt something you always have a fear of being reinjured and sometimes he was timid to get off the ground because you don't want to fall or anything. Hopefully, he can recover and be back at 100 percent. That's all we can ask him to do.

No career ending injury!!!

That is good news. However I have heard from a different source that the injury is serious. As in out 3 to 4 months. I do not know which is true but hopefully ur source is correct.

Saw him on campus today. This whole time I thought he was wearing a Wooly style neckbrace, i.e. just a big round piece of foam. Today from what I could tell it was plastic and more like this, although it had to have been a little smaller on the back and didn't come up as far on the chin, because it didn't seem as intense as this one. Saw him turn around to look behind him, definitely had fairly good movement but obviously not natural.
