If that's true, he should be fired tonight. Should be anyway, but that's a stand alone fireable offense,

Knew Cosh was a bad idea when we hired him as "Co" to Koening.

This is the part where we see of OB learned anything the first time around.  You know, when every assistant worth a damn left and he refused to fire even one of the remaining dregs that were dragging the program down. My money says Cosh is here until he wants to leave or until OB goes, whichever comes first.

Yes.  He should be fired.  He should have been fired on the rough ridin' spot following the game.

But, he won't be.  And we'll tard it up for another non-bowl eligible season pretending legit D-1 coaching doesn't matter while we've got this incompetent eff on the sideline while Koenning is at Illinois.

Nebraska was clearly better . . . which is why most of us knew K-State wasn't winning that game last night.

However it's one thing to get beat physically.   It's a whole thing to get out formation-ed and to be out coached.

I've seen this movie coming out of everywhere Cosh has been . . . he was fired by Holtz at South Carolina, no one was shedding any tears at Maryland when he left there.

I've seen this movie before on Dana Dimel as well.    Again, you can roll out all the usual excuses as far as talent goes, but it's not going to make that much difference with Cosh, Dimel and Miller as Coordinators.   Plus it's their job to go out and recruit the talent.

This is not a good coaching staff, Wyatt can roll out all the B.S. he wants to about Cosh being a "student of the game" on Wildcat Insider . . . no good "student of the game" gets completely clowned on the formation and alignment of a defense like happened last night.   This staff has had 2 recruiting classes to find some serviceable linebackers just like they've had 2 classes to find 1 serviceable dual threat QB and they've failed.

Plus, I'll reserve judgment on Chris Dawson, but that's another situation that needs to have an eye kept on it.   But there's only so much an S&C coach can do with the clowns this coaching staff has assembled.

Also, Wade Weibert can shut his fat mouth now.

Look guys, OB said he didn't like the "Bend but don't break" style defense.

Cosh took care of that by getting rid of the first three words.

What more do you want?

We really need a better name for the defense.

Maybe the creative types can some up with something.

Cosh needs to be fired immediately, I think  :weirdrobert: could put together a better defensive game plan.  WTF!?!?!?!  That was completely embarrassing.  No excuses should be allowed from him for that abomination of a defense.  I think it is obvious there is a turn around happening in the Big 12, that teams are going back to a running offense and cutting down on the spread passing game, with the exception of a few teams.  We need to get back to the  :lynchmob: days and rip some rough ridin' heads off!!

I'm not a cosh fan or anything but Koenning said himself our problem from the beginning has been about jimmy's and joes.  While Cosh may very well suck, not many people could do anything with this craptastic talent.  Vic left while the leaving was good.

that might be, but the problem yesterday was the scheme.  It's not like we had guys in place and they were just flat beating us.

Agree. The most alarming thing to me was making adjustments in the game that led to poorer performance rather than better. Harold swapping ends I thought was a poor move. Stopping zone read options only got worse after that (Terrell got burned horribly almost immediately after the change) and our pressure and penetration faded to the point of non existence throughout the 3rd quarter. While rage/sadness has effected my ability to remember very well; It seems like Martinez' largest runs came off of Nebraska's right tackle and guard. Meanwhile Harold is now forced to chase the ball from the backside largely being schemed out of the play.
