anybody been bumped. voluntary? unvoluntary? seems like this is a lot of money. i'm going to start researching flights that are always overbooked and get a ticket and show up kinda late just so i can get bumped and get the money. good business plan? dunno. probably. who's with me?

Parents get volunteered to get bumped alot on Delta. They usually get a ton of "delta dollars"...although they do generally have to wait an extra 6-12 hours to get on the next flight home.

My 'rents do the exact same thing when they fly, usually with Southwest.  They get all kinds of vouchers and stuff.  Seems like a pretty good deal if you're not needing to get back home at a certain time.

Leaving vegas a couple weeks ago my group literally begged to get bumped. Dam southwest had their crap together though.
