I can at least see value in Lucas due to his size being bigger than Jamari. In Jamari's case he makes so many boneheaded plays. I have to think Jamari scores low on any of the efficiency metrics.

Traylor is a great example of a player not developing in college and he probably peaked as a sophomore for Bill. Lucas isn't that bad, he's just doesn't have the normal level of talent you expect from a KU big. He makes the most of what he has though.

I remember going to the Bill Self coaches clinic Jamari's freshmen year, and I think that must have been Ben McClemore's freshmen year as well because everyone was like "wow Ben McClemore is super good wow" and Coach Bill Self was like "yeah ben is pretty good but did you see Jamari Traylor, that's the guy I'm most excited about for the future."  I guess he was wrong. /end story
