Are you a good project finisher?  I have a crap ton of GoPro footage, most of it crap, but some decent, that will never see the light of day because it takes a lot of time to compile and edit.

Worth it.  If you're not worried about 120 fps and stuff like that just skip the 4 and get a hero 3+ or something like that.  Leave the plastic waterproof housing on if you're about it getting damaged.

I like the Garmin Virb ones because the non-fish-eye effect is in the standard version and also you just flip a switch and boom it's on and filming.  The GoPro takes a bit to turn on, verify that you want to shoot video and not take pictures or a time lapse or whatever, and then start filming.

got a hero4 black and strapped it to my 2 year olds helmet. either I'm going to have great video of his exploits or I'll be convicted because of the video evidence of something.

That's pretty great. I attached one to my dog's collar thinking I would get good stuff but it was mostly shots of him licking his balls

I don't do anything exciting enough for a gopro.... Although I guess a night of pak'ing from my perspective might be pretty lol worthy.
