Whoever takes the job is going to have approval numbers right around where Boehner's were, so if you have any aspirations of being president one day, it's a bad idea. In fact, James Polk was the only House Speaker to later become president.

If the left was allowed to have Pelosi as speaker, I don't know why the right can't have Huelskamp. Seems unfair that the left can have a lunatic idealogue and the right has to pick a moderate.

Paul Ryan sold out the base on immigration, which is the single most important issue. Otherwise, he's good but that's a pretty big flaw.
