What does it mean?  Bobby Jindal says he'll never do it and it seems like something that I'd not do either, but I drive my car and the engine is in front.  Help.

If you're asking for a serious answer, I believe it means sitting back and hoping the international community will solve some if these problems created by the power vacuum of our withdrawal.
I've said it before and I'll say it again, K-State fans could have beheaded the entire KU team at midcourt, and K-State fans would be celebrating it this morning.  They are the ISIS of Big 12 fanbases.

I always remember this axiom: a leader is like a shepherd. He stays behind the flock, letting the most nimble go out ahead, whereupon the others follow, not realizing that all along they are being directed from behind.

It is better to lead from behind and to put others in front, especially when you celebrate victory when nice things occur. You take the front line when there is danger. Then people will appreciate your leadership.
My winning smile and can-do attitude.

That makes sense in broad strokes. Thanks.

its like when you are walking your dog on a leash and the dog goes in front of you but you are still deciding where do go and being the leader of the dog

since jindal is the only candidate promising not to leash america, he has my vote (for now).

On the farm growing up when we had a stubborn critter that would not go down the chute, we would lead from behind - by goosing them, twisting a tail, hotshot, or a nip from our deranged dog.  We cussed the critter and verbally shamed them.  Maybe he will do this to members of Congress.  That would get action. It does not leave a pretty picture in your mind.
