Just stick to Tito's on the rocks with a wedge of lime in it.  You will be good to go.

I've been thinking about giving up booze and just doing edibles. Don't like smoking but man if I can just eat a small gummy bear or something? That seems pretty reasonable. Thoughts?

Seriously folks, my bro-inlaw drank breweries dry for years.  At about the age of 40 something he developed a reaction to alcohol.  His face would puff up and turn red after a day or night of drinking brew.  Found out that the only thing he could drink and not get a reaction was Bloody Mary's.  And just in case you're wondering; his wife's name wasn't Mary.

I met a guy who had some allergy (gluten, maybe?) so he couldn't drink regular beer and therefore he only drank those cider beers.

Yes, celiac disease will prevent you from being able to drink beer. I know a former bartender at Barley's Brewhouse in Shawnee that had it. I can't even imagine how awful that would be.
