I know it's golf, but I ask again, how much stuff is the golf program going to be given before they actually have a break through?

I am sure someone can come on here and document how they still don't have this, or they don't have the budget for that, and I get it.  But still, I have to ask, is it ever going to be their year?   Irrespective of how it happened, Golf Foundation whatever . . . there's really not a program at K-State that has been given more over the last decade than Golf.   A freaking entire golf course, a freaking indoor all season full speed see the ball fly down the range hitting facility, a $5 plus million dollar clubhouse to pretty much call their home.   Come on, they've got to do something significant sometime, right?   105th in the country for the men?  Come on man.

Quote
“Kansas State University and K-State tennis have been our family’s lifeblood for 30 years, and after thorough reflection and discussion with my wife, I have decided that it is time to step away,” Bietau said in a press release. “To help facilitate the next steps and to ensure a smooth transition, I will be stepping away from the program as of today."

Assistant coach Liz Ullathorne will lead the program for the remainder of the season, K-State athletic director John Currie said in the release. A national search for a new coach will be conducted later this spring. Bietau, who did not coach last weekend’s home match against Wichita State and was not at practice this week, was in his 30th season leading the K-State women’s tennis program. He was the second-longest tenured coach in school history, trailing only track and field head coach Ward Haylett (34 years).

eh, I don't think so, this wouldn't happen mid season, the tennis program has been fine considering the resources they didn't have.

I do wonder if there is something away from the court that caused him to quit in March, or he just really wants this assistant too have her best chance to get the job permanently

This makes NFL teams' compliance with the Rooney Rule look downright legitimate.
