harris is that bad on defense and he looks like he's also be pretty easy for a defense to not let shoot, if they put a little effort into it.  i'd still play him.

Yeah, if he played for another team, he wouldn't be valuable. But just having him out there if only to force a defense to not let him shoot is probably worth 10 minutes a game on this team.

Things that I can't process-

1) why we have not played some zone before tonight.  It did a great job of forcing UT in to a snails pace and was pretty effective at negating their huge advantage in size.  I think Zoning Baylor, WVU, Tech, TCU and even ku if Greene is not in the game is something we should try and it is infuriating that all of the innovation is only when there is a complete disaster and all other options have been exhausted, have failed or are no longer options.

2)  It is criminal roster mismanagement that Tre had played less than Vulture up until now.  Edwards is a complete disaster, Wes has added very little and Tre gets zero run.  I agree he can't play man, but there is no reason why our second unit couldn't play a few minutes of zone.

3)  That end of game sequence was incredibly bad.  I can't even believe it happened.  From the Timeout, to the play, to the absolutely predictable result.  It is a perfect microcosm of everything that is wrong with the staff's approach.   oscar's post-game comments were insane.  he was second guessing giving Gip the ball and only then seemed to appreciate the absurdity of his decision.

yeah.  gilson de jesus was about as slow of a big 12 wing as you're going to find and he was an adequate defender.  harris can improve.

He also was significantly bigger.  Tre isn't just slow, he also undersized and not very strong.

Gip should have made that last shot. It was a great play and a rough ridin' easy look he cans 75-80% of the time.

I think UT's ppm was 2.1 when Hurt was in.
