not too big at all.  go over to best buy and look at one, they have them.  you'll see.  but maybe the 3 is better for her.  the 3 is more like an bigger ipod dock, if that's what she's looking for.

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

Doesn't necessarily belong in this thread, but I just bought a UE Boom wireless Bluetooth speaker for outside stuff and it's really really awesome and I love it. Do you guys own one of these or something similar? The jawbone jambox is probably bitb but it is twice as expensive as the UE

Just picked up some recessed speakers to act as RL/RR

Touches off the last speaker upgrade of my current setup

Started with just the Onkyo and and some leftover speakers from some crappy all-in-one HTS and bought the speakers piecemeal as i found ones i liked.  Really recommend this approach.  It discourages you from trying to cut corners in some areas, since you're not paying for it all up front.

I have the UE and like it... good for what it needs to do... over time the performance of the battery degrades some and you can't get as long a listen off the same charge.  Other than that, a fine BT Speaker.
