Anybody remember at the madness in Manhattan pep rally, the year after we won the wNIT, when Deb said "We're returning a National Championship Team" and everyone was just like "what on earth?"
Was the NIT game vs. DePaul the towniest game of all time?
if the royals won the NIT, dayton would say that in a way we are national champions, and nobody could argue with him
More likely to happen...We win 1 game in the NCAAs or 5 in the NIT? This team is more likely to make the S16 than win an NIT. Big Dance or bust.
Whenever I think of the winner of the NIT, I think of the 69th best team in college basketball.
Lets be honest. If you don't win the whole thing it really doesn't even matter.
Well it did save us from losing a crap ton of money like WSU did last year
If we win the NIT, it's going to be the most K-STATEO thing in the entire world. Our athletic department would pretend we just won the NCAA tournament. They would make it seem like a bigger deal than winning the Big 12 last year. That's a pretty good reason to never want to win the NIT.
