kinda a weird argument since it's not possible for us to be in the ncaa play-in game, let alone lose it...

Anybody remember at the madness in Manhattan pep rally, the year after we won the wNIT, when Deb said "We're returning a National Championship Team" and everyone was just like "what on earth?"

if the royals won the NIT, dayton would say that in a way we are national champions, and nobody could argue with him

More likely to happen...We win 1 game in the NCAAs or 5 in the NIT? This team is more likely to make the S16 than win an NIT. Big Dance or bust.

They wouldn't have to win the NIT. They would just have to narrowly miss making the NCAAs.

Doesn't matter. The question posed was would you rather win the NIT or lose 1st round. I'm clearly on the right side of this argument and everyone else is stupid.

Whenever I think of the winner of the NIT, I think of the 69th best team in college basketball.

Lets be honest. If you don't win the whole thing it really doesn't even matter.

Man, I wish that 2010 team would have won the NIT instead of ending their season in the Elite 8. That would have been way more fun.

What?

I suppose you could say winning the NIT is really nice consolation for a disappointing season. Because if your school's name isn't called on selection Sunday, there is no doubt it's a disappointing season.

If we win the NIT, it's going to be the most K-STATEO thing in the entire world. Our athletic department would pretend we just won the NCAA tournament. They would make it seem like a bigger deal than winning the Big 12 last year. That's a pretty good reason to never want to win the NIT.

I'd like to see this.

But yeah, you should want your team to be in the NCAA tournament.
