basically, this tournament is for seniors leaving college and gives them another chance to play in front of professional scouts.  fwiw, Ski was the MVP of the tournament the year he left K-State and he was able to parlay that into tryout invitations, finally landing a couple of 11 day contracts with the Timberwolves before going overseas.
