I also just won some free airline tickets tonight at our company party.  I get a years time to decide. 

I'm thinking New England in the summer or Cali.

Yeah, I just hung out at a Christmas party where they gave away a trip within the continental US that had to be used in the next 30 days. Is that a thing now?

I went to mine last night.  Played white elephant and got a four foot tall cat-in-stocking x-mas decoration.  Good times.

I have a feeling that the people who dont want to go/ cant have fun at office holiday parties are the same people who dont want to go/ cant have fun at HS reunions.

I've had some very good times at both...

One good thing about working at a law firm in NYC is that all your coworkers are alcoholics also, so you don't even need to worry.

the goEMAW ownership ring of honor holiday party that was being planned for about 5 minutes was shaping up to be very elite until it got cut from consideration.

i work for a state agency. yesterday was our holiday lunch. there is an anonymous gift exchange.  one of the gifts were shotgun shells. in a state office building. seriously.
